Kyddie Kares is a 501c3 non-profit organization committed to making a positive impact on the world, one community at a time. We envision a world where every child and family—regardless of circumstance—has access to opportunity, stability, and hope. A future where children are supported to thrive, families are strengthened, and communities are empowered to break cycles of hardship and build brighter tomorrows together. We believe equity begins with support and resources; and by providing those services, every family can rise, every child can thrive, and lasting change can take root in our communities.
Meet The Founder & Mascot
Brittney Washington
In 2019, Brittney recognized a growing need for accessible resources among families within the community where she operated her business. This realization inspired the creation of her second passion project, Kyddie Kares, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to serving and uplifting children and families in need.
Kyddie Kares was founded to provide essential resources that strengthen families and communities. From distributing backpacks and school supplies during back-to-school season to providing winter coats during the colder months and offering mentorship to aspiring and established entrepreneurs, the organization remains committed to meeting critical needs with compassion and purpose.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Kyddie Kares expanded its mission to address childhood hunger, delivering more than 56,000 meals per week to families across the community. This initiative reflects Brittney’s unwavering dedication to ensuring that no child goes without the basic necessities for health, growth, and success.
Whether through providing high-quality childcare experiences, supporting families, or actively engaging in community outreach, Brittney and Kyddie Kares remain steadfast in their mission to create lasting, positive change. When asked about her success, Brittney humbly credits it as a blessing. Her greatest mission is to serve as a positive role model for her children and the many young lives she touches.
Brittney hopes her journey inspires others not only to dream, but to take action — to rise, pursue their purpose, and make a meaningful impact in their communities.

Hi! I’m Koko!
I’m the happy, helpful mascot of Kyddie Kares, and I love spreading smiles, kindness, and hope wherever I go! My job is to remind kids and families that they are cared for, valued, and never alone.
Whether I’m giving high-fives, sharing hugs, or helping at community events, I’m always excited to make a difference. Together with the amazing Kyddie Kares team, I help bring joy, comfort, and support to children and families in our community.

Tyranecia "Ty" Jones
Tyranecia is so much more than a title—she is someone who genuinely loves Kyddie Kares and believes deeply in our mission. She brings passion, dedication, organization, creativity, and a heart for serving others to everything she does.
Tyranecia helps keep our organization organized, connected, and moving forward. She helps tell the Kyddie Kares story, highlight the impact we are making, keep our community informed, and make sure our mission continues to reach families, supporters, and those who need us most.
Her commitment and willingness to always step up and pour into the organization are just a few of the reasons she is such an important part of the Kyddie Kares Team.
Alicia Thompson
Alicia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, a Master of Arts in Legal Studies, a Paralegal Certificate, and a Certificate in Creative Writing. Her diverse educational background reflects her commitment to lifelong learning, strong analytical and communication skills, and a passion for helping families.
Alicia is the kind of person who doesn’t just talk about the mission—she shows up and puts in the work. From helping bring ideas to life and making sure the details are handled, to supporting the team and serving children and families, Alicia is always willing to step in wherever she is needed.
Her passion for Kyddie Kares and the families we serve is evident in everything she does. She brings leadership, compassion, strength, organization, and an unwavering commitment to making a difference in our community.
